I became friends with Alice at a 4th of July party thrown by mutual friends.  I am married to a musician and Alice was dating a musician.  Everyone knew everyone but Alice and I hadn't met yet.  She was French.  I have an MA in French Literature.  It was friendship at first sight for both of us.  We immediately started hanging out every week.  She had to move back to Paris in early November so I decided to have an early Thanksgiving party with friends (Friendsgiving) so that she could experience a true American Thanksgiving.  Below are some of the pictures.
